
Initiating
• Move the project forward and set expectations for the project.
• Familiarize yourself with the general condition of the project.
• Introduction to client/stakeholders.
• Introduce client to, “Sarandi Process”
• Take Hand off: Receive signed project from Sales.
• Handoff the job to drafting and engineering with a schedule for submittal completion.
• Dictate the sequence of engineering.
• Supervise the submittal process and review the completed submittal.
• Participate actively in the engineering of complex items.
• Accurate Field Verification
Planning
• Establish, monitor, communicate and maintain project schedules.
• Develop and implement strategies to achieve the project objectives of price, schedule and quality.
• Break the job down into work packages based on the schedule and what is most effective and efficient.
Executing
• Review and release work packages into the shop in cooperation with the production manager.
• Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders. Maintain contact with customer and customers’ field personnel.
• Manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs. Review change order requests and submit to estimating for pricing.
• Ensure resource availability and allocation.
• Make decisions that are fair to the customer and protect the interest of the company.
• Negotiate installation subcontracts when subcontractor is required.
• Collaborate with field superintendent when in house installation is used.
• Trouble shoot installation and maintain sufficient manpower to stay on schedule.
• Put out fires
Monitoring and controlling
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Communication logs.
• Submittal logs.
• Change order logs.
• Monitor progress of production and adjust schedule to field conditions and construction schedule.
• Monitor progress of overall job and report to accounting for progress billings.
• Attend sight meetings as required.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risk.
• Report and escalate to management as needed.
• Measure project performance
Closing
• Do project closeout.
• Submit warranties.
• Submit care instructions.
• Make sure all payments come in.
• Monitor punch list.
• Gather customer feedback
• Evaluate project for overall performance and identify areas that need improvement.
