Master Woodworker
The Master Woodworker represents the highest level of craftsmanship and leadership within Sarandi’s woodworking production team. This position involves taking on the most intricate projects, custom designs, and creative builds requiring exceptional precision and skill. Master Woodworkers supervise major projects, ensure design intent is fully realized, and provide expert guidance throughout the production process. They model the kind of leadership that reflects Sarandi’s brand values—mentoring others, fostering teamwork and continuous improvement.

A master woodworker has extensive experience and advanced skills. Can take on highly intricate projects, custom designs, and creative work that requires exceptional craftsmanship. Supervises large projects, is the shop foreman if assigned, and mentors less experienced woodworkers.
Position Details

Carpentry/ Architectural Assembly
•Understand how to accurately build assemblies.
•Be able to understand and build off shop drawings.
•Does the more detailed and more custom assemblies.
•Make sure assemblies are built accurately to specifications. Dimensions are accurate. Parts are put together properly.
•Tasks are performed efficiently and within specified time limits.
•When needed may go to the project location and install the more complex architectural woodwork and millwork.

Milling
•Exhibits proficiency and knowledge of woodworking machinery
•Uses woodworking machinery to make products.
•Proficient in the use of all necessary woodworking tools.
•Performs work in a timely way. Not distracted.

Run Parts on Edge bander
•Run parts through the edge bander.
•Correctly identify and run parts on the correct edge.
•Parts are run correctly and are not damaged.

Leads projects
•If assigned as a shop foreman, leads the group of people in the area he is assigned.
•Makes sure things are going in order for the project assigned.
•Be able to work independently.
•Mentoring Journeyman, Junior, and Apprentice woodworkers.
•Expected to be willing to help in all aspects of shop operations as necessary.

Mentoring apprentices
•Teaching/Training Apprentice, Junior, and Journeyman Woodworkers.
