Junior Woodworker
The Junior Woodworker contributes directly to the quality and precision that define every Sarandi project. This position involves performing foundational carpentry, cabinetmaking, and assembly tasks with growing independence and attention to detail. Junior Woodworkers work from shop drawings, operate power tools and equipment safely, and assist in more complex builds under supervision. As their skills develop, they take ownership of individual components and refine their craftsmanship, supporting Sarandi’s commitment to excellence in every finished piece.

After gaining some experience, Junior woodworkers are able to complete basic projects independently but still require guidance for more complex tasks. Basic carpentry, cabinet making, and using power tools with some supervision.
Position Details

Milling
•Exhibits knowledge of woodworking machinery
•Performs work in a timely way. Not distracted.

Edge Banding
•Run parts through the edge bander.
•Correctly identify and run parts on the correct edge.
•Parts are run correctly and are not damaged.

Help Package and Load
•Assist in packaging of items for shipping. Items are correctly wrapped and arrive undamaged.
•Understands how items are packaged.

Assembly
•Assemble cabinets.
•Assemble countertops
•Assemblies are quality, no blow out.
•Dimensions are accurate.
•Parts are put together properly.
•Time is not wasted with distractions and unnecessary wandering.

Laminating
•Use laminate and glue to laminate objects that need lamination.

Veneering
•Use veneer to veneer the material to the object.

Other
•May be asked to do other things such as finish prep, assist in architectural assemblies. Expected to be willing to help in all aspects of shop operations.
